What do we need to trust God for?

I was deeply challenged by a sermon on the feeding of the 5000 on Sunday. The pastor shared that the disciples had just come back from a preaching, healing, deliverance tour and were elated but tired. They got in a boat to go to a quiet place for retreat. I sometimes feel like that. Then as they approached the shore of their retreat they saw a multitude gathering. This hacked them off as they had given so much already. But Jesus, in typical God form, embraces the masses. After teaching them "many things," the disciples complained, (whine implied) "its dark, were in the middle of nowhere, we haven't eaten..." Jesus says, " you feed them." Then after a sigh of desperation, they get to work organizing an impossible task. Once the crowd is organized they realize they cannot accomplish the feeding. Then God acts and feeds the multitude.

I guess the thing that gets me is, we often get so busy doing stuff that we organize God right out of our life and minstry. So I ask myself the question, "WHAT do I need to trust God for???" Maybe I should quit organizing the insurmountable tasks before me and just let God get on with it and hang on for the ride... :)
